The Mann Foundation supports young people aged 11–18 in North East England through the Mann Foundation Fellowship — providing tailored financial support, mentoring and access to networks to those who need it most.

Support that opens doors
The Fellowship exists for young people whose talent and drive deserve a chance — regardless of their background or circumstances. We provide three forms of meaningful support, matched by the young person's own commitment.
Financial Support
Practical help with the costs that can hold a young person back — equipment, travel, training fees, educational materials and more. We remove the financial barriers so potential can flourish.
Mentoring
Every Fellow is connected with a mentor who believes in them. Our mentors offer guidance, encouragement and honest support — helping young people navigate challenges and grow in confidence.
Access to Networks
We open doors to opportunities, experiences and connections that many young people would never otherwise encounter — broadening horizons and building the foundations for a fulfilling future.

Talent, character and potential are widely distributed. Opportunity is not. The Mann Foundation identifies young people with commitment, character and potential — and helps remove the practical, social and financial barriers that may prevent them from thriving.

If you work with young people — as a teacher, coach, youth worker or community leader — and you know someone who would benefit from the Fellowship, we want to hear from you. Young people are normally introduced through a trusted nominator who knows them well.
